Discovering Perennial: We love dining in this best restaurant area in Towson.

Rarely do you dine in a place, and you get more than just the physical consumption of food and drinks that turned into a nice story. This month on September 4th, my girlfriend and I found such a place: Perennial, a restaurant in Towson, MD. It was a spur of the moment decision to go eat somewhere and to our surprise, we found a new go to place we’ve already come back to multiple times and each time it’s even more impressive.

The restaurant boasts incredible staff that are always attentive, the food is delicious and as for the temperatures – the atmosphere in Perennial is warm weather for dates, birthdays or brunches. In this blog post I will write about the first visit and also the birthday brunch which my girlfriend had. They are generally sought for the great quality of their offered dishes and the warm environment of restaurants.

Our First Visit: A Night to Remember

We visited for the first time at the beginning of September, and I think we were both quite impressed. For all these reasons and more, we were told that the place was wonderful, but really the place was fantastic. We were seated immediately when we entered the restaurant; the design of the restaurant was luxurious and modern, and the lights were fairly warm. We also could not help but notice the outdoor dining area which was full of well-trimmed bushes and trees, and lights good enough for a dinner date at night.

Now, onto the star of the night: the Filet Mignon. I can honestly say that it was perhaps one of the best steaks that I’ve tasted in my entire existence. To an even crisp, the filet was soft to the fork complemented by a good hangover of nice juice, packed with good flavors. We also ordered a side of whipped Yukon potatoes, which together with the steak felt like a very rich dish; they melted in my mouth.

The service was outstanding as the food we were served. The waiters and waitresses were polite; they ensured that all the aspects of the meals served were perfect but not excessively so. I was withdrawn much to my amazement when they produced a birthday cup cake for my girlfriend because they asked us what special occasion we celebrating when we got there, and I said her birthday was coming soon. It was such a special detail that made the evening much more enjoyable and to feel we were valued and  that we weren't just customers.

Brunch at Perennial: A Birthday Celebration

Upon this first experience, we were excited to bring my girlfriend & her parents to Perennial again, but on brunch Sunday, a little over a week later for her birthday. If I was impressed with what they served for dinner, then I was blown away by brunches.

On of the most outstanding dishes was a particular take on chicken and waffles. The waffles were not like the typical waffles they are served as funnel cake waffles, crispy and sweet outside which blended well with the spiced up sweet sauce that was served with the chicken. It was very tasty and combining the salty and sweet was quite exciting to the tastebuds from everyone at the table.

I found the outdoor seating to be a particular highlight the air and the proximity to the bushes helped to make a meal that bit more relaxing. Perennial did not fail to ensure that for my girlfriend’s birthday it was a special one. Its successful attributes include; friendly reception by the waiters, cleanliness and nicely arranged meals and drinks.

Final Thoughts: Why go to Perennial

Visitors need to make their way here if they are looking to make their date in Towson memorable or are looking for the right spot to celebrate. This has supported the good quality of meals, good service and comfortable environment as some evidence that it is a commendable eatery that locals and visitors to Baltimore would consider worthy to dine in. If you are after gourmet food then their steaks are second to none; the fillet mignon is particularly popular, additionally, for those people who are frequenting the restaurant on weekend hurry up to try the chicken and funnel cake waffles. So, for those who got the chance to experience this amazing food, you wouldn’t regret it. This restaurant has become not only a wonderful restaurant experience but one that has become special to us.
